Thousands Of Workers Will Go Back To The Streets

Jakarta - Thousands of workers will go back to the streets demanding the rights of workers they are calling. Massive demonstration will be conducted at 28 Thursday, February 28 later.

This was said by the President of Konfederasi Serikat Pekerja Indonesia (KSPI) Said Iqbal, Tuesday (12/02/2013). "MPBI (Council of Labor Workers Indonesia) and this coalition will conduct a series of mass rallies on February 28, 2013 with 10 thousand workers who will go to the palace and parliament," said Said.

Said added, just today, Konfederasi Serikat Pekerja Indonesia (KSPI) took Contrast, Imparsial, YLBHI, LBH Jakarta and the Indonesian Peasant Union formed a coalition to fight for the rights of workers. Later this coalition will be urging about employment issues such as freedom from poverty program, the implementation of health insurance all the people who have started on January 1, 2014, mandatory retirement security for workers, remove outsourcing, wage 84 items KHL (Living Needs) and reject suspension of minimum wage.

Then the coalition will also fight free association and expression, reject violence and criminalization by a group of workers, peasants, women. and people also force by law enforcement officials and the state. Therefore, according to Said, the workers are free from fear facing today. "The government must put forward the 'welfare approach' (welfare approach) than the 'security approach' (the security forces), therefore we reject the bill CBOs, National Security Bill," he said.

So to fight it all, right on International Labor Day which fell 1 May, MPBI and the coalition will move to 500 thousand workers staged throughout Indonesia. "May Day (Labor Day) May 1 500 thousand people simultaneously throughout Indonesia and is considered a national strike back," he said.
