Exchange failed, Bank Muamalat Not Too Expansive

Indobusiness - PT Bank Muamalat will certainly not aggressive disbursed this year. The cause was off to do Secondary Public Offering (SPO) and a rights issue. "We have to keep growing and not too expansive," said Finance Director Muamalat, Hendiarto, KONTAN, Friday (28/06/2013).

At first, Muamalat expects to receive additional capital of about Rp 2 trillion to Rp 2.4 trillion. The first Islamic bank in Indonesia is targeting to grow 40% financing and a rights issue when SPO is so lasts. However, not having sufficient capital is larger, feels Muamalat financing will only be increased by about 30%.

If so do the rights issue, he believes capital adequacy ratio or the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) Muamalat will be 17%. Currently, CAR Muamalat is 12.7%. But as a result of the resignation of time rights issue, he said the position will decline to the level of 11% with growth financing.

Previously, Muamalat said it would postpone the corporate action because look volatile market conditions. That is because the pressure on the exchange rate due to the release of foreign funds and also fears of rising inflation, which has made investors refrain from investing in the capital market.

Hendiarto said, Muamalat will continue to monitor market conditions. He hopes, SPO and rights issues Muamalat can walk around the fourth quarter of this year.
