Indobusiness - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI) has successfully issued unsecured senior bonds worth 500 million U.S. dollars. Global Obligas has a fixed rate coupon of 2.95 percent, the lowest in the international market.
BRI corporate secretary Muhammad Ali said the global bonds have a term of five years, which has been published since March 28, 2013. The bonds were issued to institutional investors by Regulation S. "With the coupon, the lowest among all bonds denominated in U.S. dollars issued by Indonesian companies in the international market oblogasi This reflects the strong financial fundamentals BRI," Ali said in a press conference in Jakarta, Sunday (31/03/2013).
During the offering period, BRI has received orders from 165 investors by value reached 2.65 billion U.S. dollars, or there is excess demand (oversubscribed) as much as 5.3 times. So that the bonds can be offered to yield 3.125 percent, or 25 basis points above your initial price quote.
BRI will use the net proceeds generated for general funding purposes and to strengthen the financial structure of BRI. Bonds earned a Baa3 rating from Moody's and BBB-by Fitch and will be listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange on April 2, 2013. BRI appointed Citigroup Global Markets Limited and Standard Chartered Bank as joint book-runners and PT Bahana Securities as co-manager to handle the bond offering.
