Bank Permata to Get $ 1.3 Billion Net Income in 2012

Indobusiness - PT Bank Permata Tbk (Bank Permata) announced a net profit after tax (consolidated - unaudited) amounted to Rp 1.368 trillion in 2012, an increase of 18% compared to the net profit in 2011.

The increase in earnings was driven by growth in net interest income and fee-based revenue (fee-based income). Net interest income grew 43% yoy to Rp 5.898 trillion, which is supported by strong credit growth. Meanwhile, fee-based revenue (fee-based income) increased by 7% yoy to Rp 1.109 trillion.

Permata Bank's outstanding loans grew 36% yoy from Rp 69.3 trillion at the end of 2011 to Rp 94.4 trillion at the end of 2012. Meanwhile, total assets reached Rp 131.8 trillion, up 30% yoy from Rp 101.3 trillion in 2011.

Director of Bank Permata, David Fletcher said yesterday profit in 2012 showed an overall positive growth in Bank Permata. "I am pleased to convey that Permata Bank again recorded strong growth in 2012, with progress made in all areas both on the lending side, deposits, organizational capacity and service," said Fletcher in a press release on Wednesday (02/27/2013).

Meanwhile, Gross and Net Non Performing Loan (NPL) each had improved to 1.4% and 0.4% in December 2012 from 2.0% and 0.6% over the previous year. Meanwhile, capital structure, capital adequacy ratio (CAR) Permata Bank is 15.9%.
